So for the past couple of weeks ive been finding it difficult to produce much work as i hadn't done the stretcher making workshop allowing me to make my own canvases. I did the stretcher making workshop yesterday and am now able to make my own stretchers, result. Meanwhile however i have been looking into the continuation of the line and different methods of trying to extend the life of the line - water, turps, bristle loading techniques etc. Im still trying to find the best method available, however im sure the best combination will involve oil paint and turps/linseed oil. As of next week i should have a few stretchers made and be taking this to the big (bigger) scale and get some actual work done.
Ive been looking at Sol LeWitt and his use of lines recently and also some of Joan Miros' work with lines as well.
Hopefully by this time next week i should have some stretchers made and some actual work to show.
